Mediation Services
Ms. Rank can be retained to assist you and your spouse, co-parent, or
other individual with whom you have a dispute in reaching a mediated
resolution. In this capacity, Ms. Rank will not represent either of you,
but will serve as a disinterested third party to facilitate the two of you
reaching an agreement which is acceptable to you both. While she will
not give either one of you legal advice, her legal training and litigation
background enables her to identify the relevant issues and provide you
with general information relevant to your situation. If requested, Ms.
Rank will draft a Memorandum of Understanding which reflects your
mediated agreement and which can later be incorporated into a court
order by your legal counsel of choice.
Please be advised, however, that Ms. Rank can provide either meditation services or
litigation services, but can no provide both services to a particular client. If she serves as
a mediator, she can not later be retained to represent either on of you in the litigation.
Likewise, if she represents you, or gives you advice, she can not later serve as your
mediator.
