I can be retained to assist you and your spouse, co-parent, or other individual with whom you have a dispute in reaching a mediated resolution. In this capacity, I will not represent either one of you, but will serve as a disinterested third party to facilitate the two of you reaching an agreement which is acceptable to you both. While I will not give either one of you legal advice, my legal training and litigation background enables me to identify the relevant issues and provide you with general information relevant to your situation. If requested, I will draft a Memorandum of Understanding which reflects your mediated agreement and which can later be incorporated into a court order by your legal counsel of choice.
*Please be advised, however, that I can provide either mediation services or litigation services, but can not provide both services to a particular client. If I serve as a mediator, I ca not later be retained to represent either one of you in litigation. Likewise, if I represent you, or give you advice, I can not later serve as your mediator.
