Paula W. Rank

Ms. Rank has a bachelor's degree in Sociology, with an emphasis on
social work, from Wheaton College, in Wheaton, Illinois. She earned
her Juris Doctor degree in 1991 from Washburn University's School of
Law where she graduated Cum Laude and eighth in her graduating
class. She served both as an author and editor on Washburn's Law
Journal, and as a member of Phi Delta Phi. She is licensed to practice
in Virginia, Colorado, and Kansas, and is also admitted in the U.S. Court
of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Ms. Rank has extensive litigation experience, both at the trial and
appellate court levels. Her main concentration is in domestic relations,
including separation, divorce, child custody, child and spousal support,
and property distribution. Ms. Rank has several published appellate
cases. She serves as a Neutral Case Evaluator for the Fairfax County
Circuit Court, and as a Motions Day Conciliator. Ms Rank has completed
the family law mediation course of studies with the Northern Virginia
Mediation Center and has practiced mediation for approximately three
years.

Ms. Rank's personal experience as a military officer's wife has given her
a concern for knowledge of the unique issues surrounding separation
and divorce of military personnel and their spouses. Ms. Rank is also
involved in the community, and serves as a lecturer for the Vienna
Women's Center. She is active in her local church and various civic and
school organizations.
